A/C compared to yours
It is really noticeable when my A/C kicks in. Highway speeds, in-town it doesn't matter, it is as if the engine has a huge load on it when the compressor kicks in. I definately notice a loss in engine power when its on/ Does everybody else notice this as well?

Well, the compressor activation shouldn't be that noticeable on a 3.0 engine, specially on highway speeds. For peace of mind, have an auto A/C mechanic to check the system.

I can notice when mine kicks on or off. But its not a huge difference at all. I notice a very small slight change. Enough to where I dont like driving with the A/C on but thats just me being me. My wife doesnt notice it. It really doesnt "kick" on....but I can feel when it does go on or turn off. You should deff get it looked at.

I lose power from the engine, but I don't hear something kick on on my ES like I do on other cars. I just hate the lack of power/acceleration, therefore I like the windows down.

I only really notice it on steeper hills at lower speeds. My neighborhood is nothing but hills and when going 20 - 30 MPH, I sometimes have to turn off the A/C just to get that little extra oomph. When going down the highway, I don't notice it at all.
