Default JIC Front strut bar

Asking for some help on the JIC MCV20L Strut bar, there seems to be conflict on the Toyota boards whether this strut bar will clear the top of the engine and under the hood on a 3rd Gen ES300. I currently have an OEM Solara strut bar that fits both ways, but would like to get the JIC bar if it will work. Anyone with knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't have any luck with my solara strut bar as far as clearance. But I would think if you had luck with yours with no problems I would wanna assume you should be fine with the JIC. Personally I would think the Solara bar is more stout being 1 piece vs. 2. GL

highly doubt it will fit. and if you already have the solara strut bar, why change to the JIC one? the difference will be negligible.

I was thinking the same way, but the JIC is all chrome so it looks nicer, lol.

another good point, but I guess to me it would look nice to have a nice shiny chrome bar vs a painted gray bar. Too bad I couldnt have a chrome OEM Solara bar, lol.

Thanks guys for the input, decisions, decisions, lol.

you could just get the oem solara strut bar stripped down and polished. I've seen it done before and it's a bit of money but this way, you know it will fit.
