I drilled a hole in the fire wall and then put a rubber grommet around the hole.

Then ran the power wire!

damn.. thats kind of what i wanted to avoid.
i foudn the spot where its pretty much made for a hole, but i didnt want to have to drill into it.
=(

looks like that might have to be the way though.
anyone else did it this way or another way?

drilling isn't a big deal. But make damn sure you use grommets if you do. Otherwise, vibrations over time grinding away at that shielding could put your friend in a world of heart.

i drilled where the green wire is that goes to the engine. cut the wire, drilled, ran power, threaded green wire back through, spliced, done. and it was easier because the hole was already there. right infront of the driver. i can take pictures. but trust me, wouldn't do it any other way. imo

yeah if you can just take a quick pic or two for me. it doesnt have to be too detailed, just a quick pic through the engine bay or through the drivers footwell would be great. which ever is easier for you. thanks a lot.

i think this would help a few people out in the future, i did a search on this, and there was a few of the same question, but with no "real" solutions, just a suggestion or two, but nothing too helpful

great pics man!!! thanks!!! these DEFINITELY helped! i did look at the footwells and i saw that the cut out was kind of there for the hole. but i wasnt too sure... thought id get a second opinon first. and i was trying to go a difff way so i wouldnt have to drill. but yeah, definitely the easiest way!! did you drill through the engine gay or through the footwell?
..im thinking footwell since the engine bay is at an awkward angle?

engine bay, footwell was suck an akward angle, but so was the engine bay, but it worked just fine. it is literally impossible to do the footwell.
