Default 2ES Spark Plugs

Alright, so project Rhonda is in full effect and I'm making small adjustment to her as I can. Today I wanted to put new spark plugs in her and I can't ven get past step one. How the frank do I take off the engine cover? It looks like an Allen wrench would do the trick, but some liquid wrench and a few Allen wrench sizes later the engine cover is still on. Any tips I can get would be greatly appreciated as I feel like a super special re-re today. Thanks

well....same problem with my 93 es300. Someone actually "stripped" or rounded the inside of one of the screws. So I just ripped it of and decided I would buy another if I really wanted one. But I think it looks good w/out it. I also put in NGK wires too so its nice to see the blue. Haha. But the one screw is actually still on there and I havnt really tried getting it off. But o well.

Yeah, I didn't try too hard with the allen wrenches because I was scared to strip them. I seriously have no idea how to get the engine cover off and I would really like to replace my spark plugs because I haven't since I've owned the car (for about a year now) and I have no idea when they were last replaced.

Bump. Still can't figure it out. Probably just going to have to call my local Lexus dealer and see if they'll shell out any info. Or maybe check a manual or something. In the mean-time, it would be great if someone could answer this. lol

Just use an allen wrench but go slow. After the first time it slips up stop. that way you dont strip it too much. Or use a flat head screw driver that would fit in there nicely. I had one but since the one was stripped so bad it still didnt work. But I would deff call Lexus or check the manual.
