Talking Four New Struts

Well i replaced all four struts on my car and i will say, the car is a joy to drive again, handles the road so much better than before. Steering felt more planted and a little heavier. The ride is a little stiffer then im used to but im sure it will even out, keep in mind this is with the original springs and mounts at 138k. Thanks to Ron at RGW LLC i got a great price and he even changed my rear brake pads for me for a ridiculously low price compared to all the other shops i looked at. If your around this mileage, i would highly suggest replacing the struts

He charged me 490 for parts and installation of the 4 struts, and since he alreayd had the calipers of changed the rar pads for 20 bucks. All together i paid 520 cause he also put 10 bucks worth of gas in the tank

Very good price! IMO

Looking to replace mine. That's the reason I came to this thread. Was hoping to find some info or recommendations on brand and the price range I should be looking at. Will be doing them myself

As to brand, the constant recommendation is kyb, followed by some sort of lowering spring, or the total package of coilovers. KYB's are good but a cheaper option is also monroe sensa tracs which people around here don't seem to like but some bmw guys enjoy them. Just remember, any new strut will ride better then a worn out old oem one
