Good, maybe you'll finaly quit critiquing every post made on this forum -- i think if you had an es300, and didn't drive your mom's es250, the users of this forum might take you more seriously.

Um, no? I like my ES250. It's not my mom's anymore. Now she drives a GS3. Something you can do real burnouts in. And what is up with you advertising ricer mods like nozzle lights in your sig? I think that is a good basis for not taking someone (i.e. yourself) seriously.

Hello All,
Too much infighting! We should all listen to Sick unless you wanna be smaked upside the head!
But seriously............trying to burn your tires either by neutral drops or power braking is eventually going to wreck your drivetrain (including your transmission) whether you do it occasionally or not. The ES series Lexus simply was NOT built to take that kind of abuse. Take it from me.......years ago, I had a '68 mustang fastback w/302 V-8 & 4bbl carb (hipo all the way). Occasionally, I did a neutral drop and burned the tires (even though just straight launching would do the trick as well). This car was better designed to take that abuse than the ES300 ever was BUT upon doing it the third or fourth time - BANG!!!! there goes my tranny! I ended up having to drive it home in reverse (I was lucky) and was hit with a 300 dollar bill to have it rebuilt (alot cheaper than the cost of a ES300)! Like you, EGainer, I just did it once in a while. Just relating a story to which I learned my lesson on neutral drops
.
WantANewLex...........if these guys want to go out and abuse there cars than that is up to them......at least we warned them about it
, eh? Everyone is entitled to there opinion so we should respect them for whatever it is.....even if it is insane!
When folks start flaming others for what they do then its time to step back, count to 5 and resume the talks without the personal attacks this time.
Sick and I will be watching this threads and we will probably close it if fellow CL folks just wanna keep flaming each other to death. So, now maybe we can start all over again and get it right this time
?
Oh well, I will shut-up now and go back to moderatin'
Scott.
