Default Reverse Wire

Can anyone tell me the most convenient place to catch the reverse wire to tap into for my backup cam, and what color it is? Perhaps near dash which is where the headunits reverse wire sensor is located.

So I found I can either tap into behind the dash speedometer, or I can run the cable all the way to the trunk and tap into the reverse lights. I'm thinking the later since I need to run the backup cam's wire back there anyway, but perhaps the headunits wire for the reverse wire isn't long enough. Anywhere else near the dash/center console/floorwell's I can tap into for the reverse wire?

I tapped my reverse light int he back. Like you said, you have to run it anyway back there for the reverse cam. Question for you though, do you know where the VSS/speed wire is in the front?

Apparently there is also a module behind the glovebox where I may be able to catch the reverse wire.

In regards to the VSS, I found these two threads back when I was doing my install, hopefully they'll answer your question;
