Question White foglights to match OEM hid lows. What do I need ?

I don't necessarily need hid fogs, I just want themto be white not off yellow halogen color. I've looked around alot but idk what I would need to do this (EG kit or not).
Someone help me out cause every time I ask no one answers haha

Most OEM HID's are 4300K. A pure white would be 5000K.

It's possible to get normal halogen H3 bulbs, but it may be difficult to match them to HID's.

okay, it really depends, are you just going to do it for looks or for use. I am pretty sure you want them for use, But I can suggest you to get LED H3 bulbs, which should make it match better, but I doubt it would match the 4300k, the LED H3 would be more white. What I would lean for is buy a H3 HID kit

Stick to halogen bulbs if possible. HIDs in fog lights that are not projectors glare like mad. I'm always a bit annoyed when I'm blinded more by the glare of a fog light than a low beam

I have HIDs in my fogs. First pic is with 5k and second with 6K....as you can see how white the 5k is compared to the 6K.

My head lights are 5K NON HID headlights...Just the bulbs were changed.

Yeah that's what I did too. I had 6K but then went to 5K to match my headlights. It's pure white and gives it that OEM fresh look, The 6K - You can tell it's aftermarket (IMO) and most can tell it's an HID kit because of the hint of blue in it...

^^ I like that combo. I will probably be messing with either 5000-6000k for my headlights & 8000-10000k for my fogs.

You should post pictures if you do end up doing it, 01LEXPL. I think it'll look really nice.

I ended up getting some piaa bulbs that were no different then the original halogens and were no where near the promised 4200k.... I am gonna try to return them and pick up some new ones, found a stickied forum in lighting that tests some of them, I'm on my phone but I'll put up pics when I get a chance

Halogen bulbs are typically hit or miss; it's hard to get accurate color temps. Plus, at the price of PIAA bulbs, you could get a good HID kit that's brighter and with the correct color.
