Default ES330 2005 window lock switch

I can't operate my three non-driver windows, either from their own controls, or from the driver panel control. I tried the window lock switch button for the windows and it does nothing to permit me to control the windows. I am guessing that there is a problem with the window lock switch? Is there a fuse to the window lock switch? Or am I likely stuck having to replace the switch itself?

Try opening the windows by using your door key in the lock.

Basically what you will do is insert the key in the driver's side door and turn it to the unlock position. Keep it in the unlock position for a few seconds.

All your windows and sunroof should than open. [See your user's manual for explanation of this feature]

Doing this will give you at least an idea that the windows do work, and that the problem is probably the window switch that you are referring to. If that does not work than your problem lies elsewhere.

Phil - thank you. Only the driver side opened. If this method avoids the window-lock-switch circuit, then I have another problem.

OOPs, I gave you wrong information. I just went to my car to try what I suggested, and using the key, it opens ONLY the driver's side door as well as the sunroof. Same as you experienced. So I guess that proves nothing.

Also, turn ignition and lights ON and see if all window switches illuminate. They should illuminate if the window lock switch is in the "Unlock" position. They will not illuminate if the Window Lock switch is in the "Lock" position, or if there is a problem with the switch or the circuit.

Best bet is that its still your Window Lock switch or its associated wiring.

Phil
