since it is a non-interference engine, no major engine damage. i had a non-interference engine toyota camry and decided to stretch it and the TB broke at 162k on original belt.

it almost looked like the belt was dry rotted.
as far as it being replaced at somepoint, I'm not sure but I can ask my uncle.
I haven't had a chance to get to it other then taking the cover off so far. I may get the pully replacement kit and water pump though while I'm this far in to it.

This is a pain lol.
Car is still out of commission. I just don't have a long day to get to it, hour here and there is about it. There's just no room to maneuver tools and sort of a lot you got to take off just to change out the water pump.
Also the crankshaft pulley sprocket(think that's the name) is completely stripped. It looks to be rubber but I haven't had a chance to really get to it. I just know there's only about 1 tooth left on it.

Ok, that was a bit of a ***** lol. Though a second time I think it would be much easier. Still tight to get to everything though.
I'm getting extremely rough idle and the car feels sluggish. From everything I'm reading it sounds like the timing may be off a tooth. We tripled checked all our timing lines but it's certainly a possibility.
I did however take it up to autozone and had them run the test.
p1410- erg valve position sensor circuit malfunction
p0340- camshaft position sensor (cmp) "A" circuit - bank 1
Researching these both points back to the possibility of the timing being off a tooth again. So I guess I'll start there. Then again it could just be bad sensors?
Any other suggestions?
