So i just bought an already cut lexus transponder key for my 95 es300. I was wondering if it was possible to remove the keyblade from my old key which is completley FUBAR and place it in the new transponder? any help is always appreciated and I'm more than happy to answer anymore extra questions you might need answered. Thanks.

 

I too have a 95 ES, but I do not believe there is a transponder in the key, it only has the keyless entry system...if the old key is fubar why do you want to put the key blade into the new transponder....I just found a locksmith that can cut the sidewinder keys.. and he make a copy for me....the only thing is it does not have a wireless chip in it so I can open the doors..... other than that it works fine....

 

sorry i was way out of it when i typed that post. i meant the keyless entry.
and the actual blade isnt completley messed up its the casing its in. its all falling apart the key wiggles around in it and is borderline falling out. and the button for keyless entry fell out never to be found

 

You can order just the housing (Complete with buttons) from Lexus. Than just put your key blade in that new housing
