Default Any Experience Here With Replacing an ES300 Ball Joint?

I have a 94 ES300. Curious how intensive a lower ball joint replacement is on the car. Any experience here? The part from AutoZone doesn't look like the typical ball joints that I'm seeing in videos online so I'm just curious if there's any experience on here, any advise is really appreciated.

Balljoints will vary from car to car. The one on your car isn't hard to replace. Just have a good balljoint puller and everything else should be a breeze.

Ok, thanks. Do you know if removing the whole steering knuckle is going to be necessary, or just certain parts from one another? Winters here run hell on undercar parts and those giant suspension nuts and bolts always seem to be the worst to get off.

Your biggest challenge is getting the ball joints disconnected from the knuckle because the space is tight. You have to be creative with the puller since the axle is in the way. Tightening the nut on the new joint might be a challenge also since there isn't really room to put in your torque wrench. What you can do is loosen the nut just enough so that you can slip in a ball joint puller or even a pry bar, and then pry until the ball joint snaps out of the knuckle.

Of course removing the knuckle away from the axle would give you room, but rust might make you more frustrated.

Most toyota ball joints are very easy to change because they bolt in and aren't pressed in.
