hi forum...i own a 2002 es300 after coming back from a 30 mile trip i was unloading my trunk and accidentally locked my keys in my trunk...to make a long story short i unlocked the car manually setting the alarm off then popped the hood and disconnected the battery (pos terminal) to kill the alarm. after reconnecting the battery i got to start my car and now the idle will not hold and the car continues to keep dieing on me..can anyone plz help me out with this problem is there any fuses i need to look for in particular?? .....thanx

p.s no check engine or any type of light lit on dash

The idle can be reset by disconnecting the battery. Sounds like your ES needs to relearn how to Idle.

Sorry I don't know how to perform an idle relearn. I had this same problem a few months ago when our '03 ES's battery died and I replaced the battery. It would idle real low and then nearly die. I had to rev the engine at stop lights just to keep it from dying (using two feet to drive - as you referenced). We needed the car for that weekend however so we had our mechanic fix it and I never delved into figuring it out myself. It wasn't super expensive, you ought to be able to find any shop to do it for ~$200. Hopefully someone else here will know more. Good luck, let us know.
