My mechanic told me that the transmission is not down shifting like it use to and eventually will go out. I was wondering if any one of you all have had similar issues.
Have same issues but only when cold.

always check ur manual for what maintenance is required. And basically its just oil change and topping all fluids. Did u also replace the timing belt that was required? if so then u should be good. i am going to change oil this weekend with Valvoline (its on sale for like 9bucks for a 5L can ) . Also make sure both the cabin and engine filter is clean.
Well i think thats about it. I dont think any thing major is required @ this interval...hmmmm

Congrats on hitting 298K miles. You're almost to 300K and your ES will go much much further. Just take good care of her. Happy driving...

The wife has a 99 ES 300 with 171k.......She loves this car and wants to drive it till it dies......Major service was done at 92k when she bought it from her dad who was the original owner.....Stepson has a 2000 ES 300 with 77k on it.....He got it last year and was like brand new on the interior .....Just needed the major service done on it as the previous owner(my dad) didn't do anything to it but drive it and wash it.......
