I have a 2001 ES300 and I know that my car has side airbags . However, I can't for the life of me determine where they are. Does anyone know?

In the side of the seats.... There should be a little tag on the seat that says it is equipped.

 

I don't see any tags on either seats, nor do I see anything that looks like it will accommodate a side airbag. So I have a bit of a mystery on my hand

 

If I remember tomorrow I'll snap you a pic.

 

I just went down to the garage to look again, and I did see an engraved marking near the seat adjustment controls (on both front seats) indicating the existence of Side Airbags.

So I looked around, but could still not figure out where Lexus physically put the side airbags.

 

They are in the side of the seat back. The stitched seam tears open when they deploy.

 

No wonder I can not see them.

Yeah, look in the manual, one of the pages shows all the airbags, including the SRS side airbags.
