Need more info.

Pads that minimize dust generally don't generate as much friction (less stopping power) than the rest.

Metallic pads, which generally have the best grip, are a bit noisy.

So it's a bit of a give-and-take. If you want MINIMAL dust, you're going to have to sacrifice braking performance. If you want minimal noise, again - sacrifice braking performance.

The BEST pads I've ever used are Carbotech XP16's. I use them on my track car. Even on stock calipers/master cylinder, they'll throw your head through the windshield if you're not wearing your seat belt. VERY good pads. But, they are also noisy and will wear your rotors quickly if your brakes aren't hot.

Their AX6's will be decent street pads as far as wear/life is concerned, but they will generate a lot of dust. here's more info: http://www.ctbrakes.com/pads.asp?Make=Lexus

I don't drive my ES300 aggressively so I'm looking for quiet and the least amount of dust. Does anyone here have experience with the EBC Redstuff pads? They're $150 total for all four corners.

Usually anything ceramic would cut back on brake dust. Then again, a once a week car wash will take care of the brake dust as well as the car.

So I should just buy the pads from Lexus? Same deal when it comes to rotors?
I have been happy with the OEM pads.

^I too will be doing my brakes soon.

A lot of my friends that track cars, just run 'white box' [cheapo] rotors and a good pad like a Hawk or something.

Mind you the Hawks would be overkill on our cars, since you seem to have the same daily driving-style as myself.

I will probably get OEM pads/or a good equivalent and some whitebox rotors.

cheers,
Mike

Is Lexus the place to buy OEM pads/rotors or can I get the exact same parts for less elsewhere?

Hawks HPS works great and very little dust
Check condition of rotors if only need turning or go brembo blanks
