Default How do you replace front parking/turn bulbs on 00 ES wtf?!?

This is sort of a dumb question coming from someone who does all his own work and has pulled tranny's out of cars and motors. But for the life of me I cant figure out how to replace the damn front turn signal/parking lamps on my 2000 ES. I also find it very od that its not once described in the owners manual and a search on this site has got me nowhere.

Just need to replace a bulb an cant figure it out and dont want to start yanking on the entire housing with risk of breaking something. Why is this so difficult? lol

Thanks,
James

Open hood, look by headlights, pull back the black weather striping [?] the cover over the headlamps, they are clips so pull freely only one or two will give sufficient room.

there's gonna be a tab with a philips screw there, unscrew it, proceed to pull out turn signal towards you, and it will slide out.

The bulb holder can be tricky as they almost get seized with the housing, but keep turning it.

First few steps to access the fogs are the same as if you need to replace the turn signal bulbs:

Awesome thanks so much guys thats exactly what I needed to know. For some reason it seems every bulb on my 00 ES has decided to go out at the same time. Both the rear turns have died in the last few weeks and now I have an intermittent front turn bulb and it drives me nuts and is embarrassing when the turn signals blink fast.

I just went through a similar issue with my '99 ES, and it actually wasn't the bulbs that were causing the intermittent issues, but the actual sockets themselves needed to be replaced on the front signals.

All the bulbs were lighting up, but the flashers were rapidly blinking. After a lot of hours of troubleshooting, I found that's it's actually pretty common for the sockets themselves to either corrode or short out with time with this model.

Inspecting the sockets, they looked fine, and I cleaned them out real good with electrical contact cleaner and cleaned the terminals with an abrasive. They still wouldn't function properly. I put a new set on, and they worked perfect.

The sockets pop right off the terminal connection, it's an easy fix. The part number was:

^^^ Thanks for that heads up funny thing is thats pretty much what was happening to mine. I did have a couple bulbs burn out but the last time I got the rapid flash all the lights were working. I thought the same thing I figured it was the socket so I messed with the metal prongs and so far so good if that doesnt do it I will just mess with them some more.

Thanks,
James
