Default 97 ES rocks while driving

hi everyone,

this is my first time posting so ill get straight to the problem.

i just purchased a 97 es300 with 113k on it car runs great on freeway but when on city streets the car rocks back and forth when cruising around 40mph & taking off slow like 5-15mph. it also had a loud ticking noise,(one valve was way off).the check eng light was on, read bank 2 cat. converter.

the following service was just done on the car, reset eng light, new NGK platn. plugs, oil change on eng, trans, gear, air filter change, cleaned the AFS, & quick clean of the throttle body,on the car, and fixed the ticking valve (new chimm)on just that valve.

after all that the car still rocks back and forth. its not a major rock but i noticed it, the eng sounds great its just when you take off slowly. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you be more specific by what you mean when you say it "rocks back and forth"? Tires doing this? Suspension problem?

i dont think its the tires, its not a vibration. example, if the car was parked and someone pushes it, it sways back & forth. the swaying is not as bad but it does it enough for me to notice it & gets on my nerves. i think its something with the engine. i havent checked the eng. mounts, will do that and see how they look

it does it when i take off slowly 5-15mph w/ac on thats when its felt the most. also when cruising from 30-50 mph. it feels like it sways back & forth. thats the best i can describe. please feel free to ask Q's maybe im leaving something out.

i checked the eng. mounts and found the shock tower mount to be torn. i replaced it thinking that was the solution but still does it. you feel it more under load (w/ac on) and when car has been running for a bit (around 20min)

another thing i noticed, when i put the car in drive and step on break (power break), at around 1500rpm the car starts to pulse but when i tap (sometimes a few times)on the egr valve & modulator it stops...maybe thats the problem?

i checked for torn vacuum hoses and found none...this is frustrating! anyone have any other suggestions?

is it the strutts?
When the car is parked, try pushing down on the front and rear bumpers and see if the car is bouncy or it just comes back to the original position.
