95 es300 no tps signal

Unhappy 95 es300 no tps signal

I have a es300 that runs good, until i decided to do plugs.
Took the upper intake off did the plugs put all back together, started great idled a little high but when i went to drive shiffted through all gears fast and will not down shift had a freind hook it up to a scanner and it is not getting a tps refrence signal, replaced tps but still nothing, attempted to use a flow chart to fix the problem but i 'm not that good, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thing it had somthing to do with removing the upper intake but i dont know. Please help

look at the attached diagram, I would suggest backprobing the TPS connector with a DVM. You should read 5 volts between pin 4 and 1. This voltage should be present while the key is in the run position. Next if you read from pin 1 to pin 3, the voltage should start at a little less than 1 volt, and increase up to 5 volts (as you open the throttle).

You probably have a pinched wire somewhere. The 5 volt reference is common to several of the engine sensors, any one of which may be shorted.
