2002 ES 300 ride height
Does anyone know what the ride height is supposed to be either measured from the ground to the center of the wheel openings, (all 4 corners), or ground to rocker panel, or points on the frame (4 corners). I have the stock 16" chrome wheels, and Goodyear assurance comfortread tires 225/60/16.
I am having problems with tire cupping. I have ruined 2 sets of tires within 10,000 miles each. Struts were replaced at 73,000 miles, and tires are regularly rotated at 5.000 miles. Have had 2 alignments (after struts, and on the purchase of the 2nd set of tires at 78,000 miles).
My trusted mechanic says the struts and suspension are fine, while the Goodyear store states that struts and all wearable parts on the suspension are worn out and need replaced. (Go figure). The car now has 90,000 miles.
I have noticed recently that the car sits noticable lower in the front, approximately 1 1/2" lower measured at the wheel openings.
I suspect my front springs are sagging, but I want to make sure all 4 corners are correct, but the alignment shops wont give up the information, and we can't find it in alldata.
I appreciate any information I can get.
Thanks
Rich

You went to an alignment shop and they didn't give you a before and after printout?? If so demand for one because we need to know what exactly is causing the problem. Bad toe can also show similar wear as having a bad shock.
Typically the ES has larger front wheel gap than the rear.
