HELP!!! i have problems with my car. i love my car but i am ready to scream. overdrive was not working but once in a blue moon and would slip at take off every now and then. you could put it back in park then drive and would be fine. recently it started "kicking out of gear" at cruising speed. i took it to the shop. i had a front wheel speed sensor and 2 knock sensors replaced. everything was fine except an evap code for two weeks. it started the not pulling at cruising speed again and now will not go into overdrive again. it is also idling rough. any ideas on what is going on now?

Have a transmission shop check out the shift solenoids. These transmissions are electronically controlled by a number of solenoids via ECU. Sometimes you can just have the valve body of the transmission rebuilt instead of a total rebuild of the transmission which could total your car.
