Hello all. First time posting, and need a little advice. Just picked up a 2000 es300 platinum last month. Car has a musty smell coming from the vents, and need to know how to eliminate that smell without having to take it to a shop?

Yeah changing your cabin filter should take care of the issue. The smell will slowly go away the more you use your AC/Heat.

While your cabin filters are out, it will help if you spray some Lysol (or similar anti-bactirial/anti fungus product) into the housing where the cabin filters are located.

Not sure if the previous owner ever changed it. I will do it regardless, spray some lysol in there, and see what happens. Thank you guys.
