Well I finally decided to step out of the shadows and speak. I've been looking around on this site for awhile now to see what I can do to make my ES totally pimp and yet fast enough to take on anyone who wants to race. So I'm thinking bout a custom built kit for my ES and replacing the engine. It'll be alot of work but I want to buy a 2JZ-GTE engine. But that means converting the car from FW to RW. To bad I don't live in Charllotte anymore. Would have been easier with my friends help. Anyone think this'll work.

I wouldn't recomend all of that, if you are planning on doing that much, just buy a different model lexus... it would be nice if it worked, but you are going to run into a lot of compatability problems and things that aren't going to work. Make sure that if you do this, you have completely checked out all of the specs of the new engine and drivetrain... let us know what you decide.

You guys are probably right. I was also thinking about swapping the engine with a Maxima engine (since it is also FW), but the problem of compatability still comes up. I also wanted to keep the car all Toyota. My car has alot of miles on it now and I'm either gonna get a new engine or trade it in for a new one. I'm a sport tuner by trade and this is the first car that I've had that is difficult to tric out. It's nothing like my 78 Trans Am. Guess I'll just have to do a little more reasearch and see what my best option is.

Buy the way here's a shot of my ride. It has two Fosgate hx2 10's with a 1000 watt Fosgate amp, custom built box with an Eclispe 5watt deck, and few enterior mods. Nothing special done to the outside yet except cleared front corners and blackout limo tint.

There's a better shot of the clearcorners in the photo gallery. I'd post them in here but the files are to big. BTW does anyone know whose lex that is in the gallery with the Camry style taillights? If so are they covers of some sort or are they the actual Camry lights modded to fit the ES?

Don't waste your time trying to make the ES fast, go for looks, that is all the car is good for, not meant to be fast, just reliability and looks.

True the ES is meant to be pimp. But even pimps have to out run cops every once in a while. Maybe that's why Lexus is coming out with the ES330 soon. Maybe I should just replace my engine with that one. To keep it simple.
