97 ES300 3rd gen
Ok, so I was a little nervous about posting this, and I didn't want to get bashed because I didn't search enough, but I figured what the heck. Everyone seems pretty nice lol, so here it goes. I just bought my 97 ES300 on Thursday (the only day I will ever get off from work lol), and I am making some future plans to upgrade it in a lot of ways. I owned a mustang before this, so I know I am getting into a whole different class when dealing with a Lexus. I have gained a lot of valuable knowledge from these forumns over the past month (that's how long it has been since I sold my car) and I want to thank all of you all for all the valuable information that you all bring to the table. Now to the point lol
I am looking into start setting some money aside for some rims for my ES, so I can purchase them in the spring/summer. I had 20" rims on the mustang, and I was hoping to buy some 20" rims for this as well. From reading the forumns, I realize that this isn't a smart thing, so I am looking for a 19" rim with a decent lip for the 3rd gen. I want the lip, so I can have my painter custom match it to the color code of the car so it will flow a bit better. I would also rather it be chrome if possible. Any Suggestions?
Also, any absolute do's or don'ts when dealing with a 3rd gen ES. I am planning on installing a fairly extensive audio and video system and I want to know if there is any problems you guys have had. Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

Wow, rubbing with 19s...Sounds like this may be a bit more tricky than I thought lol.
Thanks for the info. BTW, what size were your rims? and the offset? Just so I can have something to gauge mine by?
