Anyone else have RPM problems? 3ES
Does anyone know of anyone having RPM issues in their older es 300's(1999)? I have had a succession of problems.
1. First off (6 months ago) the vehicle had trouble shifting into 3rd gear
2. More recently (3 months out) i've had a problem where i can't reach a stable speed, the car is either accelerating or decelerating.
3. Last Thursday, the car would shake violently and wouldn't go past 2500 RPM's or 40 MPH for a while.
4. Last Friday (while driving home from college) there was some kind of disconnect in the engine, the car slowed down to zero and wouldn't move regardless of where my foot was on the gas. After turning it back on the car repeated number 3 for a few minutes until it went regular again.
No repair shop can replicate the issues. And i need to drive this car across states to go back to and come home again from college. So i figured as a last chance someone here would have experienced the same problem. Anyone?

It could be all sorts of things. However, it's hard to say without seeing anything in person. It sounds somewhat like a transmission, or tranny control module (?-the tranny computer?) problem. Just my guess.
