What's the fastest you've cruised your ES?

Some of you guys are crazy with the cruising speeds. Anything more than 90 may just be completely dangerous. But thanks for the test trials and good luck with that.

okay I can only reach around 120, but that is at night on 41 (fl) I'm getting too comfortable at high speeds. F.Y.I., 41 is a 55 mph road that is only two lanes. People like driving 10+ below the speed and nobody likes to pass. Since I drive back and forth to Tampa I don't like driving the slower speed. I end up passing 5+ cars at a time doing over 100+ I call it close all the time with oncoming because usually the passing lane ended and I am still trying to get pass the lead car with blind slight turns. I used to get a fast heartbeat but the last time IWas too calm, like I am getting used to it. Not a condition that is good to get used to.I dunno moving like I do is something that would only be seen on a race track race car technology. I'm not try to boast because I am getting dangerous. Keep in mind that all of my car is stock with a wobbling crankshaft pulley and a misalignment. With this I have pushed 120 and such, I have the ***** to go faster just not the money. I am pretty confident in the Lex, not something I would do in my celeb even though I had that car around 110 on I-75 (175,000 miles with cheap tires and 6 people) The road I have been doing it on is only a 55 mph road. So I am doing twice the speed and don't want to end in jail. Well as I mod more of my car hopefully I can reach 130 quicker so that I can prove myself. I hope to eventually get an Es300 past 150, that will be cool.

Papachino i like ur enthusiasam, but you dont have to "prove yourself" to anyone. Drving that fast on a road like that not only endangers your life but the lives of others.

Amount of horsepower needed VS mph attained during the same amount of time:
185bhp = 120mph
220bhp = 125mph
245bhp = 131mph
365bhp = 151mph
If you have an OBD-II engine (1mz-fe & newer), cruise control itself only works to 120mph.

I hit 100 mph the other day with ease on a hill with my '02. Was not even trying to do so but had some dude in a 525i tailing me hard at 85 mph so I decided to see what he got. Turns out he couldn't even keep up as I approached triple digits. From my rearview I could see the diststressed look on his face, as he was behind at least 2 car lengths.

Sure... You can do power to weight. You figure to make 400bhp+on that car a 1/4 mile at a time
& strip it.
J/K
Ahhh the Endless Sean pimping.
Then figure with traction you could get it into mid 12's.
You can *always* do something LoL!
It's just all relative. Like an ES 300 as fast as any 1000bhp built, caged muscle car? No, never gonna happen. Fast compaired to anything stock, or anything near it's class + the same money in mods?

woah you sure do get in to your car!
If you think power to weight almost works the same because to make my heavy car break 150+ it needs more power (definetely) it just requires less math

ive gone 130.. it seemed like it was topping out but i didnt have much chance to see since i had to slow for traffic and i didnt wanna brake too much faster than the situation i was in anyway. road was slightly uphill so.. maybe i coulda squeezed a couple more mph but i doubt it. 95 es300, go figure..

(Found on www.InternetAutoGuide.com) "With its standard four-speed automatic transmission, the ES 300 isn't the quickest in its class, but no one could call it slow. Passing performance is brisk, and top speed is a snappy 137mph."
I've gotten my 92 ES (with 274,000mi on her engine) up to 131 on the Indiana Toll Rd without a chip to modify performance. I find it odd that a "Lexux service consultant" would have anything to say about "jet chipps" and "aftermarket air flow sensors" because these chips are more likely to be found squeezing the last 1/2 horsepower out of a civic with a muffler as big as your head rather than on a Lexus. Not only to these chips hurt your engine by making it work harder than it was designed to, but if you feel the need to add a chip to a Lexus, you should not be allowed to drive.
And now that I think about it, wouldn't the car stall if fuel was cut off (at 120mph or any other speed for that matter)? And if not, why wouldn't the ECU simply just stop accelleration rather than cut off fuel?

My max is 132 on the FL turnpike comin home from Dolphin Mall one night with a friend. this is with old tires, bad alignment (slightly veers left when i let go of wheel) and old suspension, lol. i kno its extremely dangerous but i just wanted to see wut it could do. need to get the alignment done, but after i buy new tires, and i think my tranny might be going soon, it feels like the gears have been slipping slightly. Its a 94 es btw.

I've gone 110mph and I let off after that because it was a public road and didn't want to keep it up. Plenty of juice left though. From what I've read, the ES is electronically limited to ~130mph. (Not that I'd feel confident with the light steering and stock suspension)

i hit 141mph with some rpms left to go. I guess the car's aerodynamically speed limited or something, because it just woulndt go anymore and i was on a downhill slope.
BTW, i'll never do that again -- it was a dumb idea in the first place...ES's aren't meant to do that stuff. If you're going to do it anyways, make sure you have tires that can handle it.

wowww.....Can you push it even more ^__^? I thought you could push it more cause you turboed your ES
