Hehehe. Perhaps one of these days you can make it out here to Chicago and we can see if your 14 sec. ES300 can beat me.

Hey Bryce8, I recently went to a Lexus dealership and they told me that a cd changer for my 94' es would cost me $1,200. Now, is that rediculous, or is that rediculous?
So you guys at lexus mean to tell me that it would actually cost more to buy a measly outdated CD changer for my car, than a to replace my cv-joint/axles ($800)?

alright folks, i drove to raliegh today. i hit 135 mph, almost 136 it looked like. So I know believe that the cutoff is nowhere near 120. Also i did 122 last time. I was coming up on traffic, so it was time to slow down. That was a scary ride. I think I'll do one more time where I try to top out, and have someone sit in the passenger seat or back seat with a videocam. i cruised most of the way at over 100, about 110 on the way there, the car does so well at high speeds. i would never do that in a ford....

Here is a review: Top speed 137 MPH which sounds right. If you want to run at these speeds, take it to a track.

1997 Lexus ES 300
With its standard four-speed automatic transmission, the ES 300 isn't the quickest in its class, but no one could call it slow. Passing performance is brisk, and top speed is a snappy 137 mph. And in all its paces, we found the ES 300 to be as smooth and quiet as any car in its class, as well as some that are substantially more expensive.
