Default Driver Side Mirror no longer dims

Was driving earlier this evening and noticed my drivers side rear view mirror was no longer dimming. I didn't notice any cracks in the mirror for the fluid to leak out of. Any idea what could be wrong here?

Anyone? Perhaps something just came loose, or maybe I should start looking for a new mirror?

I am not sure which one of your Lexus' you are having the mirror problem with, but if its the 2001 ES, than attached is a basic electrical diagram for it. I would suspect that its not the mirror itself, but more likely an electrical problem between the sensor on the inside mirror and the outside mirror. (I am assuming that your inside mirror does work)

Something else to consider is to make sure that it really does not work. If you can than try it inside a garage while blocking the back sensor of the inside mirror, than looking carefully at the outside mirror to see if it responds (it may be very subtle). May take up to 30 seconds to respond, depending on how cold it is. If all fails, than the attached diagram may be of help

Good Luck

I was referring to the 01 ES, sorry. Thanks for the diagram. I'll check out my manual this weekend if it's not too cold to see if I can remove it quickly. Supposed to be like 20 degrees

Attached is the component position diagram that you can use in conjunction with the first diagram I posted. If you need more, than let me know, I'll see what I can dig up.

Was there an obvious crack in the mirror?
