I am about to purchase a 1993 ES300 with approx. 90K miles on it and the dealer wants to know if I want to buy a used car warranty with it. Is it worth the $1,400 for 2 years/24k miles? Or do you think the car will be OK within that time. Immediate help would be appriciated.

my take on extended warranties is that they are usually not worth it , I drive a lot and 24k is like a year for me and 1400 for a year isn't' worth it to me. Also you have to look into what that warranty actually covers and doesn't cover .. I have read about a few people having problems with there A/C but basically the cars are good and reliable.
usually you have at least 30 days or something to decide about the warranty stuff? I though.
