Default Bye,bye ES

Hey guys, I just wanted let everybody know that last tuesday night my ES was torched and completely distroyed. It was at a shop getting some work done and some thoughtless thugs burned it to the ground. So, until I come up on another Lexus, I guess this is good-bye. Thanks to everybody who helped me out.

Holy ****.
What? Some thugs burnt your car up?
That really really sucks. That should be covered under some kind of insurance I hope. Damn if i caught the dudes that burnt my car up someone would get hurt (probably me -hehe)
but you dont gotta leave man you can still stick around.

Damn, that is messed up. I really don't understand people, do they think they were trying to steal it and couldn't so they burnt it? Only explanation I can come up with other than some dumba$$ kids doing stupid vandalism.

Sorry to hear that, hope you find another car quickly and easily, maybe you'll end up with something you like better anyway. My Honda Civic got totalled last fall and I ended up with an ES which I like much more, so make the most of what life gives you, you can always find a positive.

Sorry to hear about that man. I hope your insurance will cover the cost of the car. Why someone would burn a nice car for the hell of it is beyond my comprehension. By the way, just b/c you don't have a Lex for the time being does not mean you can't come here, keep us posted on what's next...

man that totally super sucks. i hope your insurance or the shop insurance will fully cover it. if so, you might end up with a goodie. well even then i would hate if my car got stolen because of the little things in the car not covered by insurance, i.e. CD's, parking permits, little gizmos and gadgets, etc.

Damn that's weak. The shop's insurance should definitely cover that...my friend had his Civic at a shop getting some body work done, the shop left it outside in the lot overnight and it got broken into...they took his stereo, some neons he had inside, and a bunch of CD's, maybe some other stuff. But the shop bought him all new stuff...it sucked at the time, but he was stoked after he got all his stuff replaced for free.

SirChris,

Club Lexus is for Lexus Enthusiasts which means you DO NOT have to own a Lexus to remain in the club. Even if you don't get another Lexus for quite some time, you can remain a member and with all of the information out there that CL has to offer, decide on which model you may want in the future.

Also, check with the body shop that your car was in. THEIR insurance SHOULD cover for vandelism while under THEIR care! You may want to seek legal advise just to see what rights you have in the event the bodyshop owners refuse to reimburse you for damage done to your car by vandals.

Hope evrything works out for you in the end!

Scott.
