Default 17 by 7 IS Wheels on 3rd gen ES300?

Hi guys,

I just bought a 2002 ES300. I want to swap the IS 300 wheels from my 1997 ES300 to the new ES.

Has anyone does this?

If so, I would love to see pix and to know if you encountered any issue with fitment.

Thank you .

Just a minor correction, the 2002 ES300 is actually the 4th gen, just to clear up any confusion. Many people forget about the ES250.

The IS wheels are tricky. Unlike your current wheels which have a et45, the IS rims have an ET of 50, and there we're two versions of the IS rims as well, they came in a 7" & 7.5" width adding to the problem

On the 3rd gen 97-01, you need a 10mm spacer to clear the rear struts, and knowing Lexus the rear struts on yours will be the only limitation.

Ah, good catch on the generation issue there. I forgot about the 250.

That said, does the comment on the spacers still hold true? I know I had to use spacers on my 1997 install.

I have the 7 inch width IS Wheel.

Thanks much!

^^ i was talking about the 01-05 IS300's. they had a variance on one of the years with the wheel widths to my knowledge.

But if you already have the spacers bolt it up as-is
