Need new rotors and brakes - any recommendations?
Hey guys,
I'm pretty sure I need new rotors and brakes. My car has his 165,000 km and it's still on stock rotors. What's a good brand of rotors that I can buy? Looking to get a good price and something that is quality...
Any suggestions?

Take a look here and here.
This place has inexpensive parts, but the quality at times seems suspect.

rock-auto.com is cheap. but i've never used them, there's also auto-parts-way.ca [this forum censors the link, remove the '-' between the words]
To be honest, rotors on a stock daily driver - just get some whitebox ones and take it easy during the break-in period as to not warp them.
Friends of mine that track their cars do the same. Get good ceramic pads and white box rotors - they're all the same.
Pads are a different story though...
I got my brakes & one rear bearing for <200$ before labor [and not the drums in the back]

I agree on the rotors, get the white box ones they are just as good, unless you go with a high end cross drilled etc. unit. The pads, I've had very good luck with "Japan" brand from autopartsonlinecanada.com. They are actually Sumitomo, which I really like. They give a very nice compromise between performance and wear, and they are very easy on the rotors. Or get OEM which is always good.

I have a few friends in the automotive trade, and they are 'fine' for daily driving... when selling a car to say it has new brakes on used cars in their lot.
Most dealerships will buy cheap stuff to get you to come back once the stuff wears - or starts squealing. Which apparently with prime choice is the moment you install them and start to use them
Other components are fine though. Thats where i got my rear bearing from and saved about 20$ vs. some shop selling the same 'generic brand' with a middle man
