Default abs and trac light on after rear spring and strut install

So I finally got around to putting my Tanabe rear springs and KYB struts on the rear. after i was done the abs light came on and the traction control light blinks. my 97 es300 had the sport/comfort shocks so those had to stay unplugged after i put the new struts on but i don't see that affecting the abs light and i had the front ones previously put on and the lights didnt come on. anyone have any ideas to why this happened or things i could try to get it fixed? any help would be greatly appreciated.

One or more of your ABS sensors are not working correctly. You need to look for a loose connector or wire/connector damage, or damage to the sensor itself.

The sensor is located at the hub/knuckle.
As you were replacing your struts, you had to remove the strut from the knuckle. You probably damaged the cable in the process.

The wheel hub must be supported when doing suspension. If left to hang on it's own while doing suspension especially the rear then it's most likey damaged. It's not a cheap fix either I did one wheel speed sensor through Lexus for nearly 300

will a sensor work from an older es300? because it seems like 92-96s are a lot more common in the junk yards..i never see 97+ wrecked..

Aftermarket (MTC brand) show the identical part numbers. So you're in luck, they are the same. Also, a Camry uses the same sensor, both the 4 cylinder and the V6 starting in 1992. Should be easy to find what you need.
