Did you guys like the '93 ES, '97 ES, or the '02 ES the best? I really think the '93 ES was the best design and it still looks really good today.

Sean, was emerald pearl the official name for the dark green color? Mine is the same color as yours, but I like my black interior better than tan.

I think the emerald pearl looks great, but I'd looked for a black one and couldn't find the right one in black. I like dark colored cars, especially black. It takes more work to maintain them, but when you do they have that real deep shine. I think black or dark green, maybe dark blue are about the only color cars I'd own, although there are some cars that look great in other colors.
I personally like the look of the black interior, the only downside is it gets hot when you park it in the sun. I also think in my case the black interior makes things a little easier to integrate my sound system.
I think the car would look better painted a solid color, it'd be nice to repaint the grey with the emerald, but I'm not really interested in putting much more money into this car.

I agree man, black really sux to maintain, but when its topped with about 3 coats of diff waxes it looks great
I have the black interior in mine too, and it really does suck after you leave it in the sun all day but it cools down quick, makes me really want to get tint, I think you all remeber that thread....BTW I havent gone through with it yet, need to take it in sooon, Im probably going to wait til next summer because I dont mind the heat in the winter

I didn't know they made a manual for the '92 model. I was comparing the generations of ES's Egainer, not every model year. By the way, I like the '92-'96 ES even though my parents own a 2000 ES.

There was a guy with a totally black interior/exterior 92 ES in my area (those have gotta be hard to find) with an auto tranny. His car with my motor/tranny would be THE ES for me. BTW, i asked him if he was interested in selling it when i first saw him. I failed to notice his temp tags that said he bought it that day lol.
