Default Oil change question

Will my car be ok if its been a little over 6k miles since the last oil change? I changed it with mobil 1 synthetic last time. I'm getting worried because I have to wait until Saturday before I can do it.

Lol. So how many miles in between oil changes do problems occur? I'm sure there's people out there who change it once a year lol

Generally speaking you will not experience any damage in the short term, but if you continue this practice than damage can occur in the long term. Excessive engine wear, and sludge formation are but two examples. It also depends on how those miles were accumulated, highway or city, and the time frame involved since your last oil change. Ambient temperature is also a factor. All of this assuming that at least you used the right oil viscosity for your car.

The positive thing going for you is that you used synthetic oil. Mobil 1 being one of the best.

Just change your oil as per schedules, and you will be OK.

Mobil 1 is good for at least 15,000 miles, but they usually recommend you change it more frequently. I go 7,500 miles, same as is recommended by Amsoil, have done so for years.

I've gone 10k miles on M1 between oil changes, I have 164k miles. I got the car with 61k. Since around 110k I;ve had a Supercharger on the car. You'll be fine.

Just make sure to check your diptick on consumption, that is more important there.

Should be fine.
I've used Mobil 1 since my car had about 70K miles.
Changed oil between 6,500 - 7,500 miles with no problems.
