Toyo filters are nothing special..In my eyes, they are inline with Supertec e-core..

I went and got an oil filter from Toyota today. So does Denso fall underneath OEM or how does that work? The box just says Denso

Who do you think makes toyo parts, Denso. Go to Lexus and buy an air filter. It will say Denso and not toyo...They have a joint venture from years ago.

Your question is a good one. The Toyota contact I have told me the OEM is indeed made by Denso to Toyota specification and their leading factory for filters is in Thailand. Hence the "Made in Thailand" label rather than made in Japan.
