Default New springs on old struts?

I bought new shocks around aug-sept. I'm planning on getting the Tein springs to lower my car. would my shocks be damage since I've been ridding in old springs? Idk if the previous owner changed the springs. also would i need to get anything else to drop my car?

Thanks

replace/check bushings and strut mounts
depending on if the springs are bad
do a spring test http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-Tes...Cars-158077763

Don't be surprised if your shocks blow out faster from lowering just on springs alone. Its one reason why I bought coilovers and traded my Tein spring+shocks for OEM set up within 5k miles on my Camry. I didn't want to deal with it

I'm riding on stock springs and got the kyb shocks. How long did you shocks last?

I sold them before I found out. Springs were a stepping stone for my coils anyway. From someone who went through this phase, save for coils and skip the springs. You'll save more money if you're the type who lowers for performance and looks

How much do you think a good set of coils would go for?
