Default What is this red "button" for on the dash. Pics included

I was looking at my dash, and I have always wondered what the little red "button" is at the top next to the windshield. Any ideas? Pics included

You have an 'auto' feature on your light stalk. That is the sensor to switch from DRL to Low-beam once it gets dark outside.

My 2nd Gen ES300 (1994) doesn't have DRL's like the 3rd Gen ES's but it also has that? What function would it have for the 2nd Gens?

mine must be the AC sensor... Since I dont have DRL's. What is its purpose? for the A/C that is??

and why does the A/C come on when I am in auto mode for my heater? does it ever shut off?

That is a sun load sensor for the auto climate so it knows how to compensate from the suns radiant heat

Yes, it does after it gets the moisture out of the cab. You ever notice in the rain, if you do not allow that to happen your windows fog up?
