i have a 1997 es300 and when i turn my steering wheel in any direction it makes this sound that kind of sounds like something grinding. some people told me it might be that i need new struts or its due to the cold (it get to like 30 degrees) but i really have no idea

I have an 02 that does this when I turn it and I'm going real slow. Like backing out a driveway. The previous owner said its been doing this for about 4 years

I don't have a grinding sound but more like a squeeking sound.

Squeaking sound is an easy 5 min DIY fix. Do a search, you'll find it.

Grinding sound unfortunately is totally different.

Mine is more of a grinding sound. I'm not worried about it honestly.

yea mine is more of a whining sound too. it goes away a little bit after i start driving but its still there. it might just overall be my steering belt or motor
