Default Engine Vibration

Hey Everyone, I recently got a 2000 ES300. When sitting idle and the a/c compressor comes on the engine vibrates. A mechanic said I needed a new a/c compressor and drier. The car has 44k miles and drives like new so I don't suspect the engine mounts yet. Any ideas???

What is the idle speed, with the compressor engaged, and dis-engaged? Also with the car in gear, and in neutral/park? If you have a thermometer, check the temp of the vent output, make sure to tell us the ambient temp when you take this test.
I suspect that the compressor is probably fine, and it is more of a idle speed problem.

If idle speed is ok, than Engine mounts are another possibility.

George, It appears to be an idle speed problem when the car is in R or D and the a/c is on. I didn't check the vent temp. But it cools Ok.
