00-01 ES300's have HID's available as an option, so not all cars have them. They're a pretty rare option too, so the OEM HID housings are hard to find.

They are out there but it does take some time to call around to find them. I scored my drivers side on ebay but it took me a few more weeks of calling junkyards across the country before I found the passenger side. They are a huge improvement over stock halogen housings, but projectors such as on the new RX absolutely blow it away (apparently the RX has some of the best projectors available). Everytime I take our RX out I am amazed at the light output, pattern, and distance of these things.
So whats my recommendation? Either way you gotta pay to play. Sourcing out these HID housings is difficult and expensive ($500-700 if you buy outright, $400-500 if you shop around). Retrofitting projectors is time consuming and also expensive if you want the best.
Dcapo, so then you're using a pnp kit then right? Because j30 does not use the standard projector hid bulb of d2s. You're using a debased hid bulb?
Charley
looks good btw

sorry pnp kit? define that. but no kits, all stock hid, other than d2r aftermarket bulbs
yeh the d2r lexus bulb is not a direct fit but, i got to work somehow, with alotta superglue and tape lmao jk i switched over the bulb holder for d2r to the projector, 3 lil screws
i only used the bottom half of the projector, not the top half with the split in the middle, i didnt think it was necessary + it wouldnt prolly fit in the housing. i tested it both ways.
