Hey I need my all my brake pads as well as the front rotors replaced on my 02 Lexus ES300.
I have the parts just wondering on what I should be paying for just the labor?
I was quoted for $335 for everything including an oil change from small mechanic shop.
It seems like I should be able to get for a little cheaper maybe like $230?
What do you think?

lol did you ask for the oil change or was it like, "And we'll throw in an oil change!"
I'm not sure what it should cost, but it's not that much work really.. I'd estimate at about $200? I had a local place do my brake pads alone when I brought the brakes to them for $80.

I asked for an oil change lol....
Yeah I was thinking at most $200 for brakes and rotors.
So basically taking off $100 off top of that 335 and I will be happy...

Ya have you heard of a place called "DIY" lol some of these things are very very easy, do a little search fo a diy on hear their are a few. But if you dont have time or space,
$50 per axle
Maybe $75 on the axle needing rotors
but really they should only charge you enough for one hour of labor, there is no reason they should charge any more
and ofcoarse parts... so no less than $225 including parts and labor

I paid Goodyear $100 to do the rears when I couldn't get the calipers off..... They even broke 2 bolts, used the torch to get them out then sent someone to Ace Hardware for new bolts and never charged me a penny extra.....

Seems a bit high...I would check another shop. While on this brake topics I have to have my brake lines replaced on the right side. I think there are 2 lines and takes roughly 2 hours because they are taking the gas tank down and I need my filler neck replaced. This is all done on my 99 es. My friend who works at the dealership says he can probably get the lines and the filler neck done for just under 400 (330 in parts taxes included). Deal or no deal?

Damn cheap compared to any "legit" place where I am. My dealer for new front pads, shims, clips, and to resurface the rotors is going to run you around $400-$500. Same for the rears.
The shops around me are a bit less.
OEM front rotors are around $100 each, and pads around $65. So no, $335 is not ripping you off as long as he;s using good parts. Last 2 front brake jobs I;ve done for friends (pads/rotord) I charged. It was $200 alone for the parts I used as I always use the Top stuff.
