Default When Oil and Water mix?

Ok, so I removed my oil pan to reseal it, and as I was cleaning it out, I noticed a small amt of white goop at the bottom of the pan. Is this what happens when coolant and oil mix? Is it possible if my water pump has a leak that it could leak into the oil pan, or is the head gasket the only place for this to happen. Am I just over reacting? could it be something else? I dont use or burn coolant. No white smoke out the tail pipe. cant see any other signs. I am hoping I am just being over-**** about this. Thanks in advance!!!

When coolant is mixed with oil, it becomes a milk-shake like substance.
If you are paranoid, do a compression test / leak-down test.

It's probably nothing, water is a natural byproduct of combustion, that's why short trips are bad for causing sludge, the engine doesn't get hot enough to evaporate all the water in the oil. Sometimes you can see water coming out of an exhaust pipe when the engine is running and it's still cool.

Check everything out, but if your coolant level is unchanged, there's no white smoke, and your oil is not looking like a brown milk shake, you're probably okay.

Like Coulter said, it's normal. Condensation alone can cause moisture in the engine, take a look at the filler cap on a cold day, you'll often see moisture building up on it. I've seen the exact same buildup on engines I've disassembled, nothing to worry about.

And seeing you don't lose coolant, your head gasket is fine.
