240 on the fill up but one thing i dont get is that by the time i go on empty i have had more than that on trip meter i reset it to zero to see actual milage and its 350 but i dont know why it doest read 350 range left when i fill up?
I believe that the way it works is that it calculates the range based on your cumulative average mpg x amt of fuel in the tank. If your car has been driven a lot of city miles, the average mpg will be low and so the projected range will be low. My wife drives mostly in the city, and when we went on a long trip in her car last week the range displayed only 260 miles when I filled it up. I went almost 400 miles before I had to refill. After driving almost 1000 miles, the last time I filled the car it displayed around 280 mile range, so it was gradually increasing as the average mpg increased.
