Default 2000 es suspension???

I have been getting the famous knocking sound from i believe my rear suspension. At service today they said i needed rear sway bar bushings. It was gonna cost me 3 hours of labor plus the parts. With that being said i am wondering does it make sense to now replace the entire suspension all around? If so what do you guys recommend?? Coil over kit,ect...i def. wanna do something more high end to tighten up the ride and lower her a little. I don't wanna spend 4g's either... Do the coil over kits come with all the needed parts for install? Again if they are gonna need to take some of my suspension apart to repair these bushings i just want to replace everything with something better...so sick of the body roll and bumpy ride!! Thanks guys and gals...

If they're only replacing the rear sway bar bushings, 3 hours labor is excessive. Replacing the rear bushings I would rate as being easier than changing your oil, an experienced mechanic could do it in less than 15 minutes. The bushings themselves only cost around $8 for the pair. It should be well under $100 to do the entire job with parts and labor (and honestly, even that's way overpriced.)

Unless they're doing more than just the bushings for that 3 hour quote, I would start taking your car to a different shop, they're trying to rip you off.

Agreed ^ . 3 hours of labor to do the rear sway bar bushings is no sense.
