Power Mirror Problem
#16
Yeah I'd have thought the Mirror folding function would be powered through the same CIG fuse but it's either on a different fuse or there's lots of loose / dodgy wiring..
Do you know which fuse mirror folding is on? I've read thru the service manuals etc and it seems this one feature is neglected in terms of it's existence or how to fix it...
The air con controls came back on with the mirror adjustments also..

Wish I could help, but I only can see the manuals for US versions which to my knowledge didn't come with folding mirrors.

Power Mirror FIX
I know this is an old post; but I also know that there are lots of ES330 vehicles that have this same mirror motor problem. I just fixed my mirror motors last week (not to mention another ES330 I fixed a few years back) and have posted a youtube video describing how to do it. I'm sure a dealer would install a completely new mirror assembly as I don't think they sell individual motor modules. I believe the UP and DOWN motors go bad because the mirrors constantly autoadjust every time you put the car in reverse and back into drive (on some mirror settings).
The link to the YOUTUBE video is:
Hope that helps.

Doesn't sound like the mirror motors in your case

Well I put the manual control in the Left position instead of the usual middle one I leave it in and the mirrors folded down when I reversed then went back to the normal position in drive. Cool feature but I’m going to leave the control in the middle so they’re not constantly moving.

This is a forum section for a 1990 - 2006 Lexus ES300, you account mentions that you have a 2006 IS250, here is a forum section for your car. As far as I know, there was a switch telling the position of a mirror back in the day, if it would get worn out, mirror won't know where to stop. In any case, there has to be some kind of position sensor in the mirror, so you will have to take it out and apart regardless.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
