I think I'm missing something, maybe a relay or a fuse or something but my drivers side front turn signal has never worked and I checked the bulb and all connections tonight while polishing the headlights. The turn signal on the dash blinks rapidly when the left signal is turned on, but it doesn't light up or blink. The right turn signal works as intended. What gets me is the side marker lamp itself does work! If I turn on my lights, that turn signal lamp lights up, it just won't blink - any tips or things to look for?

One common problem is the bulb sockets themselves need to be replaced. I had a similar problem and tried everything: adjusted the connection tabs, new bulb, cleaned all the contacts, etc. Everything looked perfect, but it still acted like it had a short. I got a meter out and tracked it down to the socket itself. Once I replaced it, it worked perfectly.
The sockets pull out of the harness with a clip, so there is no soldering or wire cutting involved. I would suggest buying two new ones and replacing both. Mine both had issues a short time apart, and looking at the previous owners records, he also had to replace them for the same problem.
If you want to be extra sure it's the sockets, you can swap the one that's working with the one that isn't, and see if that fixes your problem.
