pumping gas problems...takes forever!!

Default pumping gas problems...takes forever!!

any normal car while pumping and the gas tank gets full the nozzle clicks and stops pumping, my 99 ES300 while pumping stops every 2-3 seconds nozzle clicks and if u force the nozzle gas will shoot back out...

anything info will help thanks..

That symptom normally points to a plugged vent, however a plugged vent should have triggered a check engine light, with an evap system code. So it's a bit puzzling.

yea no check engine lights, maybe its something mechanical and not electrical, maybe a clogged hose or valve....i just dont have a clue

A clogged hose or valve would have caused a CEL to trigger, that's why I said that it's puzzling.

Maybe try a different gas station? lol not sure if u go to same one but sound like the gas pump is messed up

Sometimes the pressure acts up against the thing. I found driving around a bit then releasing the pressure resets it. Stupid thing really

I had this happen on a Ford van. The vent was clogged or bent. Easy fix at the shop.

I'm inclined to agree. I had the exact same thing happen a month back. I didnt think much of it, filled up 10$ and drove somewhere else ad filled it up - it was fine.

It did freak me out a bit though. I had no gas to get home when it happened haha
