Default my wheels scrubs when i have rear passengers with stock height.

okay i got a stock suspension 99 ES300, i have 235/40/R18 wheels...

my car height look higher from the front than the rear ...wtf is that! lol

im planning on putting the tanabe springs on there which lowers the front 1.8 and the rear 1.0 which should make it look more balanced out.

now im wondering if i lower it, it would probably scrub easier without passengers.

what if i got KYB GR2's?? i like the ride to still be soft like a luxury car should be but still have a nice stance.

has anyone here done that setup? silver Kyb and tanabe springs

i think 235 is too wide. i think 225 is the most that your supposed to go on these cars

ESSEries300 is right! I have 225/40/18 and new KYB Struts and i can have 3 adults in the back and no rubbing.Go with 225 tires and new struts and you'll be fine.

Def. new struts and the 225 width on the tires. The older ES models tend to sag a little in the back as they age. I know exactly what you're talking about, though. My car does the same thing.. a little saggage in the rear.

I have the Tanabe springs and KYB GR2 on my ES and it rides very good. I still get some slight rub with passengers in the back and my heavy sub box in the trunk. I have the 225/40/18.

the only thing have is one 12" memphis in a small box. i'll wait till my 235 wear out than put 215 or 225 tires on there...with 235 it doesn't get close to the strut at all...i think it scrubs on the inner wheel well frame

would you opt for rolling the fender or shaving it. did a mild roll on mine which solved my problem with rubbing in the back.
