glovebox door is hard to close because the left side of it has to be supported to catch the latch. I plan to dig into it soon, but wonder if anyone has ecountered this problem? I suppose one of the pins you have to remove to replace a-c filter got broken by the last tech to work on the car...

Its doubtful the pin would break...they are pretty strong. The pin locks into place by twisting. I think you will find that the pin is not locked and has fallen out of place. You'll figure it out as soon as you open the glove box and compare it to the other side.

If I remember correctly there are two arms in the back that hold the tray in place, and on the right hand side there is a black **** that twists 90 degrees so it can slide through a slot thus allowing the door to drop down further than normal (what I assume you are experiencing). Turn that **** back and you should be ok.
